You’ll eventually need to go through the Lycan’s Hall as part of the “Nightmare Déjà Vu” quest in Throne & Liberty, but that means you need to solve its Moon Puzzle.
The Lycan’s Hall Moon Puzzle is fairly simple, on paper. You just need to match different phases of the moon to reveal the full moon. However, the puzzle can be a bit trickier and jankier than you might expect.
Worry not, though, our guide will help you solve the Lycan’s Hall Moon Puzzle with ease!
Lycan’s Hall Moon Puzzle Guide | Nightmare Deja Vu Quest Guide
The Lycan’s Hall Moon Puzzle in Throne & Liberty has two phases as part of the “Nightmare Déjà Vu” quest. To start the puzzle with its first phase, interact with the Full Moonstone in the center of the Lycan’s Hall.
The clue in-game for this puzzle is “when the yellow and blue half-moon pieces are gathered, the full moon shall awaken!” You can see what these yellow and blue half-moon pieces look like in the image above.
As soon as you use the Full Moonstone, glowing blue and yellow moons will appear around you and fly to the nearby Incantation Pillars. In essence, this is a shell game. Just pay attention to either the blue or yellow half-moons while they’re visible, then keep track of their Incantation Pillar. The positions they end up at are random, however. So, you need to pay attention in your game.
Once the Incantation Pillars stop, go up to either the yellow or blue half-moon, it doesn’t matter which one you pick first. Just interact with the Incantation Pillar to get the piece. Do note, that the pillars will move again after this, so pay attention to where the other half-moon piece is, then pick it up once the pillars stop.
Do this right and you’ll have successfully completed the first phase of the Lycan’s Hall Moon Puzzle!
Second Phase – Matching Pairs
Talk with Clay after completing the first phase of the puzzle, then interact with the Full Moonstone again to start the second phase. The moon pieces will be spread across 6 different Incantation Pillars in the edges of the Lycan’s Hall. Use a Morph form to reveal the moon pieces on the pillars and you’ll also be “assigned” 1 moon piece, which will appear above your character’s head.
Your goal here is to match the moon piece above your head with the ones on the Incantation Pillars. Every combination should result in a full moon and should use both yellow and blue pieces. Here’s a quick list of every moon piece combination possible:
- Blue First Quarter + Yellow Last Quarter
- Blue Waning Gibbous (2/3) + Yellow Last Quarter
- Blue Waning Crescent + Yellow Waxing Gibbous (2/3)
Which piece you get assigned, as well as their positions on the Incantation Pillars, are randomized. Nonetheless, you can see them anytime just by using any Morph form, so that shouldn’t be an issue. Just be warned that you do have to be quick, as there’s an invisible timer for the puzzle. Also be careful going too far up the stairs, as the game might accidentally think you’re leaving the area, resetting the puzzle.
Either way, just complete all of the moon piece combinations and you’ll have solved the Lycan’s Hall Moon Puzzle for the “Nightmare Déjà Vu” quest in Throne & Liberty! Interact with the Full Moonstone one last time once Clay tells you to and you’re all done.
