In perhaps the most metal video game partnership in existence, Bethesda has partnered with Harley-Davidson to design a one-of-a-kind DOOM-themed motorcycle — and it’s just as hellish and magnificent as it sounds. Crafted to commemorate the release of DOOM: The Dark Ages, this behemoth bike marries medieval chaos with contemporary torque in the most hardcore manner possible.
A Ride Worthy of the DOOM Slayer
This towering customized motorcycle is based on the Harley-Davidson Sportster S, and it’s drippy with DOOM attitude thanks to a collaboration with the id Software artists. It doesn’t just cover its inspiration—it oozes it. Literally so, too, as the headlamp up front is flanked by the open, fire-snorting maw of Serrat, the DOOM: The Dark Ages mechanized dragon.
The rest of the details include rune-engraved armor plating, neon LEDs, and custom lighting effects that cast dragon-wing-like shadows beneath the bike as it rides. The red neon wheels are just plain gamer look—like someone took RGB PC fans and said, “Yeah, let’s put these on a motorcycle.”
A Gamer’s Dream Machine
If there’s ever been a bike that screams “made for gamers,” then this is it. The DOOM: The Dark Ages logo emblazoned on the side is one thing, but it’s the flourishes—like the hellish glow and brutal styling—that nail it. It was always the plan, says Simon Alty, VP and Managing Director (APAC) at Bethesda Softworks.
“Constructing this DOOM: The Dark Ages motorcycle from Harley-Davidson is a union made in Hell… What better way to celebrate the launch of the latest DOOM game than with a bat-out-of-Hell powerful mecha-dragon motorcycle?”
Slay in Style – Safety First, Slayer Second
Of course, you can’t go to battle (or ride down the sidewalk) without proper garb. The collab includes a hellish-themed helmet and leather jacket to go with the bike. The hardware is surprisingly low-key: all black with gothic flair, like a spiked collar, red visor, and a helmet that draws from the DOOM look crowned with a mohawk of spikes. It’s all there to keep you safe while making you appear as though you just left a heavy metal concert.
One Bike to Rule Them All – But There’s a Catch
Here’s the bad news: there’s only one DOOM bike. It’s a rare, collector’s item—and the only means of obtaining it is by going to the DOOM: The Dark Ages launch event at Culture Kings, George Street, Sydney, on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 7–9 PM AEST. One winner will receive this hellish vehicle, along with the opportunity to experience the game and bask in the launch celebrations.
DOOM: The Dark Ages Releasing May 13
With DOOM: The Dark Ages releasing on May 13, the anticipation is almost through until you can enjoy its new melee-centric, parry-based combat. As a fan of DOOM Eternal, it’s melancholic to bid adieu to the acrobatics, but trading those for gruesome medieval chaos sounds like a decent bargain—albeit one we’ll never experience a bike ride so metal doing so.
