Mages has at last revealed its latest game, The Quintessential Princesses: Fantasy, the Abyss, and the Magic Academy, a dungeon RPG based on the popular anime and manga series The Quintessential Quintuplets. The game is due out in Japan on September 18, 2025, for Nintendo Switch.
A Magical New Chapter for the Quintuplets
Placed in a universe in which magic and science coexist side by side in the hands of aristocratic empires, players find themselves in the position of Futaro Uesigi, a poorer-than-most student who is a student in a very elitist magic academy. He’s given a very lucrative weekend job tutoring five of his peers—who just so happen to be quintuplets and daughters of powerful aristocrats.
Renowned for their appearance but not their brains, the quintuplets are about to face a world of academic disaster. While Futaro battles to keep them from failing, he uncovers a secret that could change everything for good.
Key Features
- Main and Character-Driven Stories: Read a story that unfolds at the academy while exploring each quintuplet’s individual journey.
- Character Development: Train and individualize each of the quintuplets independently. Enhance their stats, upgrade their magic wands, create items, and shape their magical growth.
- Dungeon Exploration & Battles: Complete quests, enter dungeons, collect loot, and battle monsters through tactic-based magic-infused battles.
