Fight Strategies

Gladiator Rank

  • Three Argonians: Kill the armed one first to avoid disarm attempts.
  • Khajiit: High defense, use power attacks.
  • Breton: Blocks with Elven Longsword — counterattack on his swings.

Hero Rank

  • Imperial Hero: Uses katana — bait and block power attacks.
  • Altmer Hero: Fire caster — strafe and close in fast.
  • Yellow Team Champion: 3-on-1 or 4-on-1 — kill archer first to prevent ghost summon. Let Porkchop the boar tank damage.
Note: Do not kill Porkchop. Everyone will be sad.

Becoming Grand Champion

To become Grand Champion, you must defeat Agronak gro-Malog.

Option 1: Without Side Quest

  • Level 10, high defense, long battle.
  • Use dodges, blocks, and healing items.

Option 2: With Side Quest

  • Start Origin of the Gray Prince by speaking to Agronak.
  • Go to Crowhaven, defeat enemies, find Lord Lovidicus’ journal.
  • Return to Agronak — he becomes depressed and won’t fight.
  • You get +3 Blade, +3 Block, +3 Athletics.

What Occurs After Becoming Champion

As Grand Champion, you get:

  • 1,000 gold
  • A very annoying adoring fan who follows you around

You can dismiss or kill the fan. Killing him may start the Dark Brotherhood quest. He respawns in 3 days and can be re-recruited.

Extra Perks

  • Talk to Ysabel for weekly monster fights and more gold.
  • You gain fame and the title of Grand Champion.
Final Tip: The Arena is a classic side quest—full of gold, excitement, and fame. Equip smartly, fight tactically, and always protect Porkchop!
