At the top of this year we did a quick check-in on the rogue servers of the old console MMORPG EverQuest Online Adventures, including Sandstorm, the currently only publicly playable such server. We’re circling back to this one again primarily because it’s not only a playable emu but a continuously active one.

Updates to the server have continued on a weekly basis that run a wide assortment of improvements including an upgraded new server, a newly minted Discord, some XP adjustments, the continued addition of things like quests and items, and the usual application of bug fixes along the way. The month of October is also seeing the Halloween event’s return from now October 11th to November 1st.

Those who want to keep up-to-date are encouraged to join the Discord or keep eyes on the official site for details as well as instructions to access the server. There’s also a neat little map of Tunaria to zoom around and explore if one is so inclined.
