Developer Dead Mage and publisher Humble Games have revealed the Wizard of Legend 2 roadmap, showing off what’s coming to the co-op action roguelite during its Early Access period.
Wizard of Legend 2 was released just a couple of days ago, but Dead Mage is already looking to the future, and it looks like that future is solid despite Humble Games’ recent layoffs and restructuring.
In a Steam post titled “What to Expect for Wizard of Legend 2!”, Dead Mage says today’s roadmap is intended to show off what the team is working on, but that there’s still room to “adapt based on your feedback and input”.
The Wizard of Legend 2 roadmap isn’t organized by time, and the new features it promises are presented “in no particular order”, Dead Mage says.
New biomes, including the Castle and “the Final Biome”, are on the way, and you can also expect two brand new elemental bosses based on Fire and Wind, both of whom will have unique attacks for you to deal with.
You can expect the game’s story to be significantly expanded during the Early Access period, with Dead Mage promising “more profound lore and story elements”, and, of course, you’ll be getting more Arcana, as well as more upgrades and enhancements for those Arcana.
Other improvements promised by the roadmap include four-player co-op play, as well as more relics and medallions, more contracts, and more ways to customize the game. It’s Dead Mage’s hope that these additions “provide endless replayability” for Wizard of Legend 2.
If you’re not familiar with Wizard of Legend 2, it is, believe it or not, the sequel to the original Wizard of Legend.
Released last week in Early Access, Wizard of Legend 2 introduces a new 3D visual style, as well as new spells, new challenges, and more. Dead Mage says the plan right now is to stay in Early Access “for at least six months”.
You can check out Wizard of Legend on PC via Steam right now.
