Epic Games has released dozens of Fortnite live events over the past seven years. These events have been so successful that they’ve broken numerous records in the gaming industry. The last one, which took place at the end of the Remix season, drew an audience of 14.3 million concurrent players, making it the second most popular event in the video game.

We are now in Chapter 6, and Epic has a fantastic plan for these events. Not only will the new chapter keep having them, but the Fortnite developer will also bring back old events, allowing new players to become part of Fortnite’s history and veteran players to relive them once again.

OG Fortnite live events are coming back

With the release of the OG mode on Friday, Epic Games brought back many veteran players. As a result, the new mode peaked at 1.6 million concurrent players on its first day, with 1.3 million of those playing the classic mode with building. However, the return of the original mode is just one part of Epic’s plan for the future of Fortnite.

According to TimTheTatman, one of the most popular streamers, the Fortnite creator will bring older live events back. This will give newer players a chance to watch them for the first time, while OG players will see them once again. However, the release dates of these events are currently unknown.

The good thing is that Epic has a long-term plan for the OG mode. Due to this, we expect the first event, Blast Off (Rocket Launch) to take place sometime in April 2025. The event originally took place in Chapter 1 – Season 4, and the recreation of this season should come out in early 2025. Later on, the first chapter of the OG mode should conclude with another Black Hole.
