There’s no need to recount the story of Cyberpunk 2077’s disappointing launch.
Over the past three years, CD Projekt Red has diligently worked on improving
the game, leading up to the imminent release of the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom
Liberty DLC expansion.
While the DLC release is generating excitement, what truly grabs attention is
the early launch of Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0, preceding the expansion’s
arrival. This update promises a complete transformation of the base game,
introducing changes to perks, combat mechanics, the skill tree system, and
most notably, a significant revamp of the police AI, enabling thrilling car
chases within the game.
Despite its connection to the Phantom Liberty Expansion, scheduled for release
on Tuesday, September 26, update 2.0 will be available a bit earlier,
specifically on Thursday, September 21 (yes, today!). While CD Projekt Red has
not provided a precise release time for Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0, as they did

When Will Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 Be Released?
The release time for Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 is highly anticipated. It is
expected to be available at 4 pm BST, 11 am EDT, and 8 am PDT today. The
reason for this timing is CD Projekt Red’s announcement on Twitter regarding
an upcoming episode of RED Streams at 3 pm BST, 10 am EDT, and 7 am PDT today.
During this episode, they plan to delve into the details of update 2.0.
Responding to a player’s inquiry about the patch’s release time, CD Projekt
Red’s community manager, @Lilayaah, mentioned that they are aiming to launch
the update towards the end of the stream. Although there hasn’t been an official announcement regarding the runtime of
this RED Streams episode, it’s worth noting that the previous one lasted
approximately an hour.
Therefore, the provided release time can be
